The Inspired by Iceland campaign today announced details of an innovative documentary film directed by award winning Director Rupert Murray. The film, entitled Islander, captures the country of Iceland opening its doors and inviting tourists into one of the most surprising and inspiring islands in the world.
The Inspired by Iceland campaign, which launched in October 2011, has been developed to attract the enlightened tourist to Iceland during all seasons. In a public address, the Icelandic president, Ólafur Ragnar GrÃmsson called on his Islanders to open up the doors of their homes and invite tourists in for a unique Icelandic experience pledging his own unique invite for pancakes with himself and his wife Dorrit at the presidential home.
