The Mayan 2012 Dateline issue

Latest finding is not a good lead

The end of the Milky way is coming!
Or as, maybe.
Or did it, had already happened?
No !
To say its good news or bad one is an overstatement for a believer, as our view was never based on Mayan calendar.

Its is a very wrong assertion as our perspective defers.
It's may be any news for those who believe in the 2012 Mayan dateline apocalypse theory.
We knew definitely that the world will not end 2012.
Various calendars that originated from the medieval periods are based on physical phenomenon that they observe around them e.g patterns of the Sun, Moon, Stars etc
If the Mayan way of life is to pull out human hearts when the Sun refused to fertilize their crops.

THAT'S SERIOUS
I found it hard to believe a more intelligent period like ours will revisit a program that lead the then inhabitants to remove thousands of heart when rain refuse to fall and fertilize their crops!

Issues and arguments that the accepted conversions of dates from Mayan to the modern calendar may be off by as much as 50 or 100 years is a futile endeavor. What the Mayans term end of days may differ from what we have in mind, so it certain that calculating their calender based on our underlying believes in the Christian scriptures which we have been better exposed to would throw the prospective and advertised 2012 doomsday off by years casting removing any doubt the dates of speculated historical Mayan events.
Their doomsday worries may be based on eclipses which they believe governs the pattern of rainfall as it is essential to livelihood. .
An empirical fact that Mayan calendar ends come 2012, much as our current calendar ends on Dec. 31. looks unethical as reasons governing the end of our calendar on Dec.30 should be taken into proper consideration.

The problem is that we are using a failed religious calendar to propound a valid date.

What the litmus test of a correct apocalyptic calendar might be, as a bases to focus on areas that made the current interpretation wrong, the foundation on which the calender stood is faulty, a barbaric community that sees eating each other for supper might be planning a last heat that will put every body in their pot of soup through a precaution that the world will soon end next year anyway!
Certainly Mayan doomsday theorists may need to induct another ancient calendar to pitch their apocalyptic hopes.
This time a more humane ancient peoples must be a criterion of study
