WHY DO WE NEED TO ESTABLISH CHRISTAIN SCHOOLS

Knowledge is power, but power can only be regulated positively through character modeling.




Power may tend towards evil or bad. Knowledge is important, but an
uncircumcised hear with a great deal of knowledge will most of the time
use it in the wrong way. The knowledge will do more harm than good.

What are the most important things in this world that we prepare the
child for? we may all agree that it is knowledge, deducting that a man
can use his knowledge for good or evil and this is a product of who he
really is. It depend on his character. Character is much more important
than mere knowledge. It ia actually a deciding factor that regulates what
kind of a life a man will live.

Saddled with this understanding, the responsibility to prepare the child
for life, then the very first thing we will think about, the training
of the character. This should be the very first aim of education. But
before we go all out for this we must clearly define our goal that is our
copied model.

MODEL
What king of character we wish to see develop in the child? We need
something to see what progress we are making that is we can measure our
progress of development. To measure the character.At this junction it will
dawn on us that the most perfect measurement of human character is found only
in Jesus Christ. He is recognised as the only perfect man.

AIM OF EDUCATION
When we say the aim of education is to develop the best kind of character we
we meant we want to develop characters as far as possible like that of
Jesus Christ, because we cannot find any other example anywhere that is as
high as that set by him
Education is not only for the child but the people, and Christlike characters
will help the children use their powers, knowledge and skills in the true
service of humankind positively.
